Tenon Cutter
A tenon cutter cuts a tenon at the end of a log. That tenon then fits into a mortise hole on another log allowing connections to be made.

Forstner Bit
A forstner bit cuts a mortise for the tenon. The mortise must be the same size as the diameter of the tenon. for example, a 2 1/2" diameter tenon will need a 2 1/2" mortise. See our Forstner Bits
Drill
We recommend the Milwaukee Hole Hawg 1/2"drill for logs up to 4" and the Milwaukee 3/4" drill for anything larger. The 3/4" drill can be used on ANY size of log. See our super value Drills!
Bench Vise or
Clamp & Carriage System
It is important to secure the logs you are working with. It will not be possible for you to hold the log securely by hand! Attempting to do so may cause serious injury. We offer a clamp and carriage system that will hold both drill and log for greater safety and security. See our Clamp & Carriage System
